What is Hypnosis?
There are many fears and misunderstandings about hypnosis. The most important thing to understand is that hypnotherapy is not a stage hypnosis where the hypnotist seems to control the subject by invoking embarrassing situations that are carried out on the volunteer on stage.
The most common misconception is that you somehow lose control while being hypnotised. That is completely untrue. In hypnotherapy you remain completely in control at all times and can never be made to do anything you do not want to.
You are fully able to talk if you wish to (or not, if you do not want to) and can terminate the session, stand up and leave the room at any time.
Hypnosis actually is a very natural state that we have all experienced. Think about daydreaming or driving the car. While driving you can be on “autopilot” but yet entirely aware of hazards on the road.
“Hypnosis is a state of mind, enhanced by (although not exclusively) mental and physical relaxation, in which our subconscious is able to communicate with our conscious mind”.
Most of the habits, feelings and emotions we want to change reside in our subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a very effective method to rewire ourselves subconsciously. And you know why? Because hypnosis itself occurs on a subconscious level.
In the state of hypnosis you become highly responsive to positive suggestions made by a hypnotherapist, however remain entirely in control. When you are in a relaxed state the door to positive and helpful suggestions is open. These healing suggestions are able to sink into your mind much more quickly and strongly comparing to when you are in a awaken state of mind.
And the last note: HYPNOSIS IS NOT DANGEROUS.
NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming
In short Neuro Linguistic Programming can be described as a method based on the essential connection between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interaction affects our body and behaviour (programming).
It is a very effective and rapid form of psychological therapy, helpful in dealing with such problems as phobias ,stress, depression and low self-esteem. Whatever challenge it might be, NLP can help to reprocess existing pattern of behaviour and to produce great results in a very limited time.
Richard Bandler, the founder of NLP said that it is useful in “finding ways to help people have better, fuller and richer lives”.
NLP consists of a set of powerful techniques that enable you to improve how you think, behave and feel. I will help you to remodel your thoughts, choose a positive approach towards different issues, change behaviour and achieve the success you desire.
Do you want to change the shape of your body and look more attractive?
Do you want to feel better and have more energy?
Did you try different diets, lost some weight and then often put on even more weight?
Some diets can help you to lose weight in the short terms but they don’t work in the long run. And each time you feel even more miserable than you did before. Does it sound like you?
Hypnotherapy has been renowned as one of the most effective and natural ways to lose weight.
Do you know why?
Because it helps you to build new healthy habits, such as exercising, eating healthier food and reducing the portions. You will no longer…keep trying to exercise. Instead you will…want to exercise!
The process I will take you through will also help to recognize the emotional and psychological problems that are in the way of losing weight. You will develop a new self-image and start feeling better about yourself. This will help you to lose weight and losing weight will boost your self-confidence and you will feel even better about yourself.
Take control of your life today!
The hypnotic gastric band operation
Anyone who is overweight by 2 stone or more may want to consider the hypnotic gastric band operation.
The success stories of having a hypnotic gastric band have been well documented in the news recently with a reported success rate operation of 80 per cent, which is higher than actually having the surgical procedure which works for 70 per cent of people.
During the session we create a state of mind where you will believe that you actually have a gastric band operation. Afterwards you will eat smaller portions and feel fuller faster. But don’t think about it as a “magic wand” so that I will wave and you will automatically change your style of life and eating habits. I want you to understand that it is a process during which we explore and reframe the way you think about food, you will get motivated to do exercises and much more.
It is absolutely normal and natural to experience fear in a dangerous situation. Its purpose is to protect our life, activating the automatic “fight-or-flight” response.
A phobia is an intense fear of something that “in reality” has little or no actual danger. Most phobias develop in childhood, but they can also develop in adulthood.
If you have a phobia, you probably realize that your fear is irrational, yet you still can’t control your feelings and reactions. Just thinking about the object you fear make you feel anxious. And when you are actually exposed to the feared object your heart stars pounding faster, you feel nausea, numbness, you are afraid of losing control, or dying. The terror you feel is overwhelming. If your fear is interfering with your daily life, causing you a great deal of distress, then probably it is time to seek help.
It is very important to understand that having a phobia does not mean you are crazy. Phobias are very common. And the good news is that phobias are curable. Hypnotherapy combined with NLP is a well-known as a very effective method of helping people to overcome phobias.
Don’t forget that it was your mind that has created your phobia. And if your mind can do that, then your wonderful and imaginative mind can cure your phobia as well .
